These combined properties make the LASALLE INTERIOR TRIM Thermal Acoustic Barrier Mat the ideal material for sound and heat insulation for the floors and bulkheads in Land Rovers and other vehicles. It’s dense weight helps to reflect noise and dampen vibration, it can be manipulated to follow contours and the structure cuts cleanly. The material can be butted together or the foam cut away and overlapped with all joins taped using duct tape to ensure minimal noise breakout. The perfect product for use under rubber mats and carpet, Thermal Acoustic Barrier provides the optimum in sound reflection, vibration damping and thermal insulation. In addition, it’s also highly heat and flame resistant.
This product contains no traces of PVC and is halogen free, off cuts can be recycled, making it extremely environmentally and user friendly.
The substrate should be clean, dry and free of oil, dust, grease, release agents or other contaminates. Metals should be degreased prior to bonding. If necessary clean and dry the substrate with methylated sprit or similar. Cleaning solutions, if used, must be allowed to evaporate before application of the adhesive.
LASALLE INTERIOR TRIM Thermal Acoustic Barrier Mat can be applied to the substrate with Velcro, double sided carpet tape, or double sided duct tape, around the edges if there is a need to access the covered areas.
