LaSalle Trim Thermal Acoustic Insulation
LaSalle Trim Thermal Acoustic Insulation is a versatile open cell foam designed for use in a wide range of applications where high levels of thermal and acoustic insulation are required.
The material comes as standard in a lightweight sheet form. One side is faced with reinforced aluminium foil, increasing strength, rigidity and thermal efficiency. The other side features a practical, peel-off self-adhesive backing. Overall thickness is 12mm.
These combined properties make Thermal Acoustic Insulation the ideal material for panel insulation on Defenders and older Series vehicles alike. Low weight means effortless handling, the structure cuts cleanly, and the self-adhesive backing makes for fast and accurate fitting. The perfect partner for our headlinings and side trims, Thermal Acoustic Insulation provides the optimum in sound absorption and thermal insulation. In addition, it’s also highly heat and flame resistant, so it can be used beneath the bonnet too.
Supplied in full or half sheets as required. A full sized sheet of LaSalle Trim Thermal Acoustic Insulation measures 1.25m square.

LaSalle Trim Damping Pads
LaSalle Trim Damping Pads are specifically designed to reduce vibration in sheet metal and other resonant surfaces. This makes them ideal for vehicle panels, particularly those found on Defenders, Series and Military spec Land Rovers. They also improve sound insulation by adding mass to the structure.
The pads are made from a dense bitumen material, specially enhanced with mineral fillers and a synthetic rubber to form a highly visco-elastic product. Application is quick and simple thanks to the peel-off self-adhesive backing. Fitted to van sides, door skins or bonnets, Damping Pads will significantly reduce vibration and transmitted noise.
Supplied in 525mm x 385mm textured black sheets 1.5mm thick.

Portalrover has fitted LaSalle interiors for some years now, and always been pleased with the results. Since the company has been bought out and moved to Scotland, the service has become personal, and we are delighted. A new product supplied to me by LaSalle is an insulation / soundproof panel that self adheres to the roof and sides. This not only - but more importantly - stops condensation forming on the bare metal and keeps the noise down. If you are fitting a new interior, do not do it without fitting this product first ! No more drips and stains, and warmer too. Thank you LaSalle for coming up with this quick solution for a long term problem.
